A few of our primaries looking for Cupid this week in class.

Our creative movement class was charged with collecting the eggs at Jones Farm in class today. But when they looked in the nests... No Eggs! Someone must have stolen them! Here are their faces. Confusion at the first nest. Annoyed at the second. And mad at the third.

Last night one of our senior dancers admitted she’s never built a snowman. So we ran our class work faster than usual (good for stamina) and ended 10 minutes early so the kids could build a snowman outside. Welcome Stanley to the D&MDS family.

Some grade 1’s with their Halloween prizes

Halloween week at the studio! Lots of super excited kids are having a quiz at the end of class, if they answer correctly they pick a halloween toy. Don’t miss class this week!

Day 2 of practice exams.

Almost 8 months late, but finally doing our practice exam. With Covid, these make up exams will be videoed and sent to the examiner. And with some kids with a cold, we had some kids zoom in. Definitely a crazy year!

When Covid hit we knew life would be forever different. And dance classes doubly so! So we equipped our studios to allow for in person and live zoom classes at the same time. So students could choose to come in person or stay home on any given day, depending on what life threw at you. Well, the unexpected joy has been the ‘return’ of former students who moved away, now able to take class with us again. Here is a former student who moved to Alaska 2 years ago, back with us in New York via zoom. This week she shared with us the newly fallen snow.
