Where does the hashtag #DANCEGERALD come from? Each time professional photos from the season were released on Facebook, Gerald would be one of the first dancers to comment (usually in all CAPS) with words of support. Reading his "YAAAASSS" "OMG GIVE US DRAMA" "YAS LEGGINGS" "YAS HAIR" "YAAAS LEGS" would make you smile from ear-to-ear behind your screen. His comments had the ability to lift you up. Gerald didn't forget to cheer himself on either - swipe to see his comment o...n his own solo moment captured above, "DANCE GERALD!" Hope this backstory makes you smile, and each time you use #DANCEGERALD that it reminds you of our friend, to go full out, and that it reminds you to love yourself too This past week we celebrated Gerald's life with dance workshops and virtual gatherings. We were reminded of the joy and charisma Gerald brought to the dance floor, & shared stories of the impact he made on friends and strangers alike. We raised a little over $1,500 from workshops + events to continue providing dance scholarships and donations in Gerald's name.
