Last week, on Halloween, we gave a warm welcome to our new clinical team, composed of @teacherscollege students Nicole and Shira and @columbiassw students Ester and Emily! They will be working closely with the parents who are participating with their children on the PACCT Study. We are so excited to have them on the team!

Last night, we joined the @affcny for the NYC debut screening of their film, Foster Parents Speak: Real Talk About Partnership and Building Community, and a discussion led by foster parents and children featured in the film. Because of the lab's interest in learning more about the importance of early caregiving, it was very important for us to hear the stories shared by these families and engage in conversation with individuals working endlessly for parents and children at AFFCNY.

For our Parents and Children Coming Together (PACCT) Study, we see families at Columbia University's Zuckerman Mind, Brain, and Behavior Institute on West 129th Street and Broadway. That same building houses many scientists that work on research in many different aspects of psychology and neuroscience. In addition, the institute holds events for children to engage with the science of the brain on certain Saturdays throughout the year. Here's the event link to their next Saturday Science session on September 28th!
