We have a new study!!! We want to understand how deaf and hard of hearing people living in America navigate health care. This study specifically focuses on TeleHealth, which has surged in use by medical providers after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic! Are you 18 or older & deaf or hard of hearing? We’d love to hear about your experiences, frustrations, and what works. Take this survey & tell us!!! https://rit.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_8ogeykh83sK9Hil [Video Descriptio...n: A white female is signing at the camera, wearing an orange RIT longsleeve. She has long, wavy, dark brown hair with slight blonde ombre at the tip of her hair. Behind her is a corner of a room with tan walls and a black frame hung to the right of the female signer. The frame contains a cloth/tapestry of repeatitve alternating symbols of fishes and moths in black and white mimicking a checkerboard pattern] [Transcript: Hello!!! I have something to share!! If you have experienced using telehealth for appointments with your doctor or if you have any experiences, feelings, thoughts about the benefits and weaknesses of using telehealth; please take our survey! You are qualified if you are deaf/hard of hearing and 18+ years old. At RIT/NTID, the Deaf Health Lab aims to use the collected data to document your telehealth experiences. Using your stories we want to be able to validate and improve our future experiences in health care including full access and utilization of health services, and obtaining equitable health information in ASL. Please complete the survey, sharing your experiences will support our study's goals and it means a lot! Thank you!]

ICYMI: A publication from Center for Deaf Health Equity on the first U.S.-based study of Deaf transgender adults. In this paper, they wanted to find out if there were differences in medical and mental health conditions between Deaf and hearing transgender adults. A collaboration between Keith Sanfacon, Alex Leffers, Cara Miller, Oliver Stabbe, Lori DeWindt, Kathryn Wagner, and Poorna Kushalnagar made this publication possible! This is one of many reasons we do #DeafHealth #Research!
