Of all the barriers preventing people from breaking out of poverty, poverty itself is often the most challenging. As companies return to hiring, those struggling to get by find themselves in a catch 22 of not being able to afford clothing to interview or re-enter the workforce. That is why we are so grateful to be the beneficiary of Ralph Lauren’s new rental subscription service, ‘The Lauren Look,’ which will provide nearly new fashionable attire to Delivering Good so we can help people in need get back on their feet. Bringing a smile to a child overcoming adversity brightens up the world just like a rainbow after a storm. Our community partner, Rainbow Days provides support and smiles to at-risk children struggling with poverty and other difficult situations. Someone who is experiencing homelessness is not just experiencing one thing, but many. This is the insight from Dan of Arizona Helping Hands, a Delivering Good community partner serving children in foster care in Arizona. Dan knows that homelessness and foster care are wedded together so when his organization received an abundance of new, high-quality outerwear from Delivering Good, he reached out to share the much-needed relief with the New Faces Partnership, a coalition... of groups assisting the growing number of people affected by the recent economic downturn.
