J.O.ke of the week I heard about these three aspiring psychiatrists William, Julie, and Bubba. They were taking their first test on emotional extremes. The professor asked William "What is the opposite of sadness?" He replied "happiness." The professor asked Julie "what is the opposite of depression?" She replied "Joy."... The professor asked Bubba "what is the opposite of Woe?" Bubba looked kind of puzzled and after a long pause he replied "giddy up." See more

J.O.me of the week I heard about this kindergarten teacher who was trying to explain to her students about self-esteem. She said to her class "anyone who feels like you're dumb please stand up." She didn't think anyone would stand and she would point out no one is dumb. About that time Little Johnny stood up. She said "Johnny do you really feel like you're dumb?" He said "No ma'am, I just hate to see you standing there all by yourself."

J.O.ke of the week I heard about this man who was quietly reading the newspaper when his wife snuck up behind him and hit him on the head with a frying pan. "What was that for?" She said "that was for the piece of paper I found in your pocket with the name Mary Lou on it." He said "Oh honey, that's just one of the horses that I bet on at the racetrack last week."... She apologized and went about her business. Two days later she hit him on the head with a bigger frying pan. After he woke up he said "What was that for?" She said "Your horse called....!" See more

A great man has left us, on the anniversary of Pearl Harbor Day and the death of John Lennon. I highly recommend Chuck Yeager's autobiography. This is the best obituary I've read so far. https://www.whio.com//chuck-y/NINAV6KVKGMU5UTMWM6VW6UT7Y/

J.O.ke of the week The Pope and a lawyer died on the same day. They went to heaven where St. Peter met them at the gates. He said "Follow me, I'll take it to your homes." St. Peter dropped the pope off at a small wood-frame house, 1 bed, 1 table, nothing to it. He then took the lawyer to this magnificent house. It was huge, had a big swimming pool, beautiful view out back. the lawyer was overwhelmed. He asked "How is it I get this amazing house and the pope only got the small place?" St. Peter said "we have dozens of popes you're the first lawyer!"

J.O.ke of the week A pastor was walking down the street when he came upon this group of young boys who were surrounding a small dog. He asked what they were doing and they explained whoever could tell the biggest lie would get to keep the dog. The pastor launched into a 10 minute sermon starting with "don't you know lying is a sin" and ending with "when I was your age I never told a lie." There was complete silence, and just when he thought he'd gotten through to them the youngest boy spoke up and said "alright, give him the dog."

TREATS FOR THE TROOPS 17TH YEAR BRIARCLIFF MANOR (October 31, 2019) Imagine a young, 18-year-old soldier coming in from a long day on patrol overseas: hated, shot at, lonely. Then, imagine the look on his face at mail call when he gets that package with a few pieces of real American Halloween candy, and maybe a note from back home. Native Briarcliff Manor dentist, Michael Teitelbaum, DMD, MAGD, FACD is fighting tooth decay and helping our troops have a happy Halloween.... Dr. Teitelbaum will collect candy from kids, then send the candy to our troops overseas. It gets the candy away from kids, who are already at a cavity-prone age, and helps cheer up soldiers, who are far from home & can’t enjoy the simple pleasure of Halloween, commented Dr. Teitelbaum. A twist on the old Trick Or Treat custom is returning to Westchester this holiday season, dentist Michael Teitelbaum is concerned about all the sugar consumed around Halloween so he's doing something about it! All of the candy brought into his office (1312 Pleasantville Road, Briarcliff Manor) by either parents or children will be collected and the confections will then be sent to American troops. The sweets can be dropped off the week following Halloween, from Friday, November 1st, through Friday, November 8th (or call to see if you can still bring it over) between 8:30am and 6pm. This is my 17th year collecting and donating hundreds of pounds of candy. I enjoy doing things that are fun, yet also good for people’s health. Let’s face it, this time of year both adults and children eat too much sugar and end up paying the price later with a mouth full of cavities said Dr. Teitelbaum, who has been practicing cosmetic/family dentistry in Briarcliff for almost 30 years. This charity-minded professional has collected and shipped over 3000 pounds of candy from all over the country and had his efforts spotlighted on national TV. Among other charitable endeavors, Dr. Teitelbaum also volunteers his services restoring smiles of battered women through the Give Back a Smile program, donates teeth bleaching treatments for local charity fundraisers, and annually gives money from smile whitening to Garth Brooks’ childrens’ charity through the Smiles for Life Program. Dr. Teitelbaum graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dentistry in 1989, was admitted to the prestigious American College of Dentists in 2017, and has been practicing dentistry in Briarcliff Manor, NY since 1990. For 11 years Dr. Teitelbaum was Founding Vice-President, then President of the Greater NY Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and is a director of the Westchester Academy of Restorative Dentistry. He is the Director of Westchester’s only DentistSpa. For more information, call (914) 941-2000 or visit www.DentistSpa.com. See more

J.O.me of the week I heard about this elderly couple that had been married for over 60 years, never had an argument, never had a cross word. At a church function someone asked the secret of their success. The husband told how he always treated his wife with respect and how he took her on trips around the world. He said, in fact, for a 25th wedding anniversary he took her to Beijing China. Everyone politely applauded. Someone said "What did you do for your 50th wedding anniversary?" He said "I went back and picked her up."

A Pastor he decided to skip church one Sunday morning and go play golf. He told his assistant he wasn't feeling well and drove to a golf course in another city where nobody would know him. He teed off on the first hole and a huge gust of wind caught his ball carrying it an extra hundred yards and dropped it right in the hole for a 450 yard hole-in-one. An angel looked at G-d and said "What did you do that for?" G-d smiled and said "Who's he going to tell?"

J.O.ke of the week I heard about this wealthy man, he was known for being eccentric. He was having a big party at his house. In his backyard had a huge swimming pool filled with sharks and alligators. He announced to the guests "Anyone who will swim across my pool, I'll give you anything you want. In a few minutes there was a big splash. This man was in there going 90 to nothing, Dodging sharks, maneuvering around alligators, made it to the other side just in the nick of time. The owner said "Wow! you're the bravest man I've ever met! Now, what do you want me to give you?" The man said "What I want more than anything else is the name of the person who just pushed me in!"

JOke of the week I heard about these three sons who left home and went out and prospered. They got back together to talk about the gifts they got their elderly mother. The first son said "I built Mom a big house." The second one said "I got her a fancy car." The third son said "since mother loves to read the Bible but can barely see, I got her a specially trained parrot that can quote the entire Bible." A few weeks later they received a letter from their mother. It said, "Milton the house you built me is way too big, Gerald the car you got me is way too small, but my dearest Donald your simple gift is my favorite. The chicken was delicious!

JOke of the week There was a senior citizen, he was driving down the freeway in a brand new Corvette with the top down going 80 miles an hour when he saw a flashing red light in his rearview mirror from a State Trooper. Without thinking about it he floored it, took it up to a hundred miles an hour. He heard the sirens behind him, finally came to his senses and pulled over. He said "Officer, I'm so sorry I don't know what I was thinking." The trooper said "Listen, this... is Friday, my shift is over in 30 minutes. If you tell me a reason why you were speeding that I've never heard before I'll let you go." The man thought about it and said "Officer, years ago my wife ran off with a state trooper and I thought you were bringing her back." The officer said "Have a great weekend." See more
