Our last exhibition of the season is now in full swing! Be sure to drop by and check out Debra Rose's featured "Moments of Life" oil portraits. Acrylic and watercolor paintings by Paul Garland, Lee Hanford and Sewall Oertling are also currently on display. And last, but far from least, have fun perusing our unique artisan works presented in the front of our gallery. Plain Air paintings depicting fall scenes accompany our skillful crafts this month. PS: The annual "Leaf Peeper Weekend" event is going strong in Fair Haven today and will continue from 11-4 tomorrow. If you haven't participated in this art oriented walk-about during our peak Fall season before - now is the time to join in on the fun!

Our September show is off and running until October 11. This month’s unique exhibition features watercolor landscapes created by Sewall Oertling, a SUNY professor emeritus whose works have been greatly influenced by Chinese painting. His uniquely delicate and alluring approach is well worth a visit! While in the gallery you’ll also have an opportunity to see a selection of contemporary and traditional works produced by Paul Garland, Lee Hanford and Debra Rose. And, far from least, be sure to visit our gallery soon to feast your eyes on some of our new artisan works!!

We’ll open a little later today due to Fair Haven’s new Third Friday event - a Gallery Hop plus much more!! Our hours for today and every 3rd Friday will be 2 - 8 pm. See you tonight!!

We're back!! Altho DOC Gallery opened a month late this year due to uncertainty surrounding business restrictions during this coronavirus pandemic, we're now h...ard at work and looking forward to a full season of art & artisan presentations once again. Of particular note this 2020 season - we'll be participating in Fair Haven's new Third Friday event which will occur each month through September from 5-8 pm. There will be a wide selection of food, drink and art merriment offered by many local establishments throughout Fair Haven village and beyond at tomorrow night's (July 17th)Third Friday kickoff! DOC's featured July artist will be PAUL GARLAND. Paintings by Fair Haven artists, Debra Rose and Lee Hanford, will also be on display. Please stop by to view new works by these professional visual artists while perusing our selection of hand-crafted artisan ware for gift ideas.

Just a reminder that we'll be celebrating our final exhibit of the season during this Sunday's RECEPTION from 2-4 pm. In addition to viewing the creative endeavors of DOC's six visual artists - Suzanne Gaffney Beason, Linda Bigness, Paul Garland, Lee Hanford, Debra Rose and Stefan Zoller - you'll have an opportunity to hear Ms. Beason speak about the process and inspiration behind her latest series of paintings entitled "Perspective", which will be displayed on our gallery's ...feature walls. (See sample pics below.) Our ARTIST's TALK will begin around 3pm. So, PLEASE JOIN US for this festive Sunday afternoon gathering filled with good conversations, refreshments and art that will tug at your heart, or at least make you think! As always, our exhibition receptions are FREE and OPEN to the public. We'll look forward to seeing you at 584 Main Street, Fair Haven this Sunday afternoon, Oct. 27.

Our last exhibition of the season is now in progress, hence, this will also be your last chance of the year to enjoy our collection of unique artisan crafts and see recent works by our DOC "Group of Six" artists. Fortunately, we are extending this latest show through to Sunday, Nov. 3. Don't forget, too, that we'll have a RECEPTION, as always, to honor our artists. So, we hope to see you in the gallery Sun., Sept. 27, 2-4 pm where you will have the opportunity to meet the artists, mingle and enjoy gratis refreshments. Our featured artist this month, Suzanne Gaffney Beason, has her "Perspective" series presently on view.

Summer may have come and gone, but we're still here and will now be OPEN until Nov. 3rd! Also, please note that DOC's new fall hours are: Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30am - 4:30pm. While our exhibitions change monthly, our gallery's artist and artisan works remain the same - professionally distinctive. Check us out!! And while you are at it, don't forget to view and appreciate the captivating change of season in around our bay and Great Lake.

Our featured artist is Linda Bigness who will be delivering a talk about her new series of paintings entitled "Amazonia" at this reception. Selected artworks from our gallery artists, Suzanne Gaffney Beason, Linda Bigness, Debra Rose, Lee Hanford, Stefan Zoller and Paul Garland will also be shown. Please join us for this exciting exhibit of new work at the DOC!!

Our August show is up and running! This month's show continues to showcase new works by DOC's "Group of Six" artists while highlighting a series of large paintings produced by Stefan Zoller. The August Zoller feature presentation is entitled "Blackened." Help us celebrate!! We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming gallery reception this Saturday, August 10, from 6-8 pm.

There is a reason why so many writers, visual artists and musicians frequently visit or reside in Fair Haven. Tranquility, peace, harmony and beauty inspire creativity. But it doesn't take being an artist to appreciate the natural wonders found here. Visit Fair Haven and you'll understand the magical attraction.
