Eight years ago, we started here in New York with just 4 employees. And every morning since that first day, we have woken up early, slept late, and pushed for the moment when we open our doors. For our teams here at Dominique Ansel Bakery and Dominique Ansel Kitchen , it's that very first guest that starts our day. And without our team, we would not have been able to be a part of those morning breakfasts, afternoon pick-me-ups, birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, graduations..., and everything in between. As we face the effects that have touched so many of our friends in the industry, the team that we had grown from 4 to over 80 dedicated managers, chefs, cashiers, baristas, and porters in New York are in more need of support than ever. Currently, we are offering take-out only and keeping as many as we can of our team so they can find a means to help support their families. Please know that 100% of the proceeds from this GoFundMe will go directly to our amazing staff. Last night, we spent a long time with the team understanding there's no perfect solution to our very uncertain world right now. We've finally decided that rather than our own speculations, we should do what our city tells us to and monitor it vigilantly. Starting tomorrow, we'll be offering take-out only at #DominiqueAnselBakery on Spring Street and take-out and delivery at #DominiqueAnselKitchen in the West Village. This means that all our seating areas will be closed and we...'ll be limiting the number of people entering to make sure we are keeping safe with the appropriate social distancing and continuing our increased sanitation procedures. We'll be doing our best to support the livelihood of our team, who are providing for their families. Please bear with us as things are ever-evolving and additional changes could come soon. Like so many of our friends and colleagues, these are unchartered waters, where there can be unknown repercussions to each step. With your support, we are making them carefully, and cautiously.
