Last September I had to take the exam to recertify as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. To prepare, I took a weeklong class, ten practice e...xams, read a stack of technical books, studied 10 flash cards a day, and worried a lot! The IBCLE finally posted the results today and...I passed! I have helped thousands of families figure out breastfeeding--the oldest babies are now in their 20s and the youngest was born last Friday--I have the greatest respect for parents with the drive to breastfeed and courage to seek out answers when faced with challenges. Here's to the next 10 years!
