Today we said goodbye to a dear friend and neighbor, Farmer Jimmy Dodd who passed away suddenly last week, just shy of his 84th birthday. Despite not being an "official" family member or employee, Mr. Dodd was a staple of the farm. He frequently drove through, greeting everyone with his huge smile and the local gossip of the day. If you've been here apple picking, there's a good chance he drove the tractor for your hay ride. His cheery disposition and charismatic personality made him a joy to be around. He even earned himself his own specialty sundae at our ice cream stand. He was a life-long friend of Rod Sr. who has endless stories of the two of them raising hell all over New Paltz in their youth (and adulthood, to be frank). If you knew him, you know Mr. Dodd lived a full, blessed life. He will be dearly missed by many.

HOLIDAY HOURS: Our retail store will be OPEN on Christmas Eve from 9am-1pm and CLOSED on Christmas Day. Same goes for New Years Eve and Day. Beginning in January, we will be CLOSED on Sundays. All other days remain the same. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from The Dressels!
