Are you having a hard time sleeping? Are you experiencing sudden weight gain? Do you feel like you are always out of energy that you can’t seem to manage putting one foot after the other? You consulted many doctors and went through numerous therapies but you’re still not seeing any improvements to your well-being. In this week’s podcast episode, Dr. Sharzad Green joins me again to talk about adrenal fatigue. We talk about what adrenal fatigue is and how stress contributes largely to it. We also discuss the difference between adrenal fatigue and adrenal insufficiency. We also tackle the importance of a lifestyle change and the steps to take in order to treat adrenal fatigue symptoms effectively. Menopause is downright disruptive. Many women experience joint pains, hot flashes, muscle cramps, and in some occasions, arthritis and even autoimmune disorders for the first time in midlife and menopause. While menopause is the privilege of a long life, there are some challenges. And knowing how to address these challenges in a holistic and healthy way will make it much smoother sailing. In today’s episode, I welcome Kelly Nentwich, a certified life coach and speaker. Kelly..., like me, focuses on helping menopausal women fight through the challenges brought by the disruption of menopause. In this episode, we talk about the ways to fight autoimmune disorders, why managing what we eat affects our overall health, and the simple steps towards personal change and creating a quality life. Kelly also shares her personal experience with celiac disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and how she overcame it. So, tune in now and discover how you can heal from diseases and improve your life for the better. http://www.drmichellegordon.com/tmm-podcast-episode-83:-he/

It felt like spring today! It was sunny and warm. I put on a long-sleeved shirt ans my shorts. Then, an outdoor run. It was really nice (even if it was a little chilly)... What a beautiful gift nature gave us today, reflected in the two photos I’ve included here.... I’m so grateful for my health, connection to my family and their continued health, and the beauty I can find in my own backyard. Menopause is a time of change and can feel so disruptive! It’s also a time of reflection and renewal. What are you grateful for today? #MENOMate #MenopauseMovement #MenopausemovementPodcast #FitnessAfterFifty #Gratitide #NaturesBeauty #WhereIsDrG #DrGTravels

A walk in the snow flurries today. And just in case you weren’t sure if they were real, my dogs. Keeping active is one of the best tools we have for healthy brains as we age (another is eating whole, unprocessed foods). ... The subconscious mind or that inner critic that we usually identify as that voice inside our head is actually more than that. The reality is it plays a huge role in the way we live and how we identify ourselves. If you are looking to change anything in your life, understanding the subconscious mind is key. Menopause is a time of transition and change and it is the perfect time to look at the beliefs that are driving our behaviors. In today’s episode, we are joined by Lynn Lo...uise Larson, a leader in subconscious reprogramming. We take up how reprogramming your subconscious is possible and the reprogramming process, the importance of addressing your past experiences, and why happiness should not be based on the outcomes. Lynn and I also discuss dealing with trauma and how self-awareness is beneficial. Join us today as we delve into the subconscious mind and learn more about it. Some photos of the starkness we see in NY during the winter months. While we’ve had some flurries, so far we have had no real snow. Today was sunny but cold. Took the dogs on a long recovery walk after last week’s intense workouts. ... One thing the pandemic (and menopause, tbh) has taught me is to look for the beauty in my backyard and I see it every time I walk my dogs. And menopause gives us the opportunity to sit back and evaluate what’s working in our lives. And what may need a little more work... When I started The #MenopauseMovement, it was all about breaking the silence around menopause. Now that we have #TheMenopauseMovementPodcast going on 78 episodes, I’ve realized that this time is so much more about reflecting and seeing what’s next and how to make this the best time of our lives. To help make menopause the best time of your life, we are beta testing a course all about Understanding Your Hormones and Managing Your Menopause. There’s NO CHARGE for this $500 course! All we ask for is your participation and your feedback and testimonials! You can apply to this course by going to the link in my bio! #MENOMate #Motivation #Menopause #MenopauseMovementPodcast #FitnessAfterFifty #WhereIsDrG #DrGTravels

Took a brief walk with the dogs just before the Seahawks-Giants game. Things to be thankful for: 1) Food delivery during a pandemic when I don’t want to cook 2) Central heat... 3) The ever present, unwavering love of my dogs who love me even when I feel unloveable.
