Put it in the books! Second shot done and one step closer to normalcy. Looking forward to the simple things in life, like watching #MetsBaseball at #CitiField again. #LGM #HowieRose

Encourage. Motivate. Support. Part of what I do when counseling patients about their health. These are medals I’ve accumulated over the years. No, they’re not for winning any competition and yes, for the most part they are participation trophies (I run slow). However, sometimes participating is the only barrier to healthier living. Whether it’s for cardiovascular, musculoskeletal or nutritional health, we all need help to get us going. ... Through various outlets, I’ve relied on others who have motivated and encouraged me to live healthier. I’m posting not only to practice what I preach, but more so to pay it forward. I’m hoping posts like these will continue to encourage, motivate and support whatever goals you may have. Now who says participation trophies are meaningless? Participation is the goal! #HealthierLiving #Motivate #Encourage #Support #PositiveVibesOnly #YodaRules

Humble beginnings. Overwhelmed by the tremendous support from friends, family and patients. Cautiously hopeful but eternally grateful. Let’s do this! #IPMNY #PainDoc #PainManagement #OpenForBusiness #ThankYou

Like most joints in the body, the joints in the spine called facet joints can be a source of pain. Most commonly, facet mediated pain is due to arthritis in the joint (wear and tear). Sometimes, it can also occur in younger patients from an injury (such as in a car accident) or from an auto immune disorder (rheumatoid arthritis, Lupus, ankylosing spondylitis). When conservative treatments fail, radiofrequency ablation can provide significant improvement in quality of life.... Radiofrequency ablation targets the nerves that carry painful sensation from the facet joint and reduces its intensity by applying heat to the nerve. This simple and safe procedure can be performed in the office and takes approximately 15 minutes using local anesthesia and/or light sedation. It is one of the many types of procedures offered by pain physicians to reduce pain and improve function. Let me know if you’ve responded well to RFA in the past. Would love to hear your success stories! #PainDoctor #PainRelief #RadiofrequencyAblation #RFA #IPMNY
