Even though I feel perfectly healthy, I was just Covid-19 tested. I had both the nasal swab (easy) and antibody (quick needle pinch) tests. I wanted the tests because I felt it was one of the many important steps for a safe patient experience in my office. While no one wants to be tested, I was all the more inspired to get it done and be #NewYorkTough when passing the #FreedomTower on my way to the testing center. Our office is implementing many other safety protocols, includ...ing: The staff will take patient temperatures upon arrival to the office. All employees will be wearing masks and we will ask patients to wear masks as well. Social distancing strategies will be in place. These include physical distancing when possible, asking patients to come alone, and limiting the number of appointments in a day. We ask that patients reschedule appointments in advance if they feel ill in any way. We will continue to rigorously clean and disinfect all common areas and treatment rooms after each patient visit; this includes doorknobs, desktops (including telephones), and light switches, etc. Hand sanitizer will be available and encouraged throughout the office for patient use. Many other measures have also been implemented and we will continue to adapt for your health and safety.
