Many of you will remember the Dunkirk Historical Museum held a Whiskey Tasting fundraiser last year, offering the opportunity for a select few to taste a well-preserved prohibition-era bottle of whiskey. A similar event will be held again this year, following COVID rules (wearing masks, limiting numbers in the museum, observing distancing rules). If you are interested in purchasing a ticket call the museum during its hours of operation and buy a ticket. Only 24 tickets this year!! All proceeds benefit the Dunkirk Historical Museum. In addition a silent auction will be held for special bottle of whiskey!!!

Anyone passing by the Historical Museum will notice Carapella Masonry doing repair work on the building. The brick joists are being chiseled out and replaced with new mortar on three sides of the building, continuing work done by the same company a few years ago mostly on the west side of the building. A stone buttress at the top of the building that is bulging is also being removed and reinstalled.
