Let’s celebrate more women! Rachel Carson is another one of many amazing women in environmentalism. Author of Silent Spring and many other writings, she brought attention to what harmful environmental effects were being caused by pesticides and the chemical industry. Her work in the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services and other environmental organizations led to the making of the Environmental Protection Agency.
