Happy Tuesday! Today is our hospital cat Lucky's 12th Birthday!!!!! He is such a special boy and we are so grateful for him. He has been through so much these past couple of months, but he continues to thrive and be so strong! He spends the days he is scheduled to "work" lounging in the office and his days off, nights, and weekends at our hospital managers house (where he thinks he is the King of the Kingdom)! Some will say he is lucky that he was surrendered to us, but we like to think we are the lucky ones as he is such a special soul. We hope everyone is having a good start to their week!!! Dear Valued Clients, It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Dr. LaVacca will be leaving East Fishkill Animal Hospital after 4 1/2 years. Her last day will be on Saturday, August 29th, 2020. We will miss her laugh, dedication to her patient’s needs, and of course Sydney, who accompanied her on her shifts! It was a very hard decision for her to make, but she will now be closer to home, family, and friends in Connecticut. Dr. LaVacca wants to assure you that your pets wil...l continue to receive the same quality of care and attention that you have come to expect from her and East Fishkill Animal Hospital. Amidst the sad news, we have some exciting news! Some of you may have had the pleasure of speaking with our new Chief of Staff, Dr. Schulz, who is currently here part-time (2 days a week). Starting Tuesday, September 8th, 2020, Dr. Schulz will be coming on full-time to offer added support to Dr. Knapp. Dr. Schulz will be transitioning over from our sister hospital, Suffern Animal Hospital, where she is currently the Chief of Staff. We know this year has brought many changes and we are so appreciative and lucky to have such understanding clients and patients. We look forward to everyone getting to talk to Dr. Schulz as we continue our curbside process and wish Dr. LaVacca the best of luck on her new adventure!
