Most sharks have 5 rows of teeth! That’s why if a child’s permanent teeth start coming in behind their baby teeth it’s often called shark teeth. Thankfully, shark teeth are typically nothing to worry about. However, if the baby tooth isn’t wiggly or if your child’s tooth hurts, it’s time to call your dentist for an appointment.

Plaque is soft and sticky, so you don’t need to brush forcefully to remove it. However, if it collects and hardens into tartar, it can only be removed safely by a dental professional. Make sure to brush your teeth for two minutes twice a day with a soft-bristled toothbrush to keep your smile strong and sparkling!

Did you know that eating fruits and vegetables can help you prevent cavities? Not only are they low in sugar, but fiber-rich foods will scrub plaque and bacteria off your teeth as you eat them. What’s more, they stimulate saliva production to wash away any lingering cavity-causing particles as well!
