Congratulations once again to Chana Shloush from New York, NY, who won back-to-back Create-a-Word contests in August and September! In response to the September challenge to create a word that describes an emotion a freelancer might feel during a dry spell, Chana's creation of "Brokebreak: An unlucrative vacation that comes upon a freelancer due to lack of work" received 51 percent of the vote. Our other September finalists were: - FONEA (n): Fear of never editing again (by B...everly Ehrman from Westport, CT) - Pawcity: The panic that sets in when you realize the only one responding to your overtures is your cat (by Andrew Huston from Hunterdon County, NJ) We invite all members to participate in our October challenge: create a word that describes an emotion a freelancer might feel when trying to work with a client who doesn't understand track changes.
