Well we just finished up En-specting the new Factory By Beer Tree at the Oakdale Mall and all I can say is Wow, Absolutely awesome!!! Congrats to the Beer Tree Crew, thank you for investing in our community. After dinner (and picking up a four pack of Color Spill ) we brought the kids to the mall and patronized some wonderful stores. The Oakdale Mall has a true destination once again, everyone needs to go check it out! The service and atmosphere were fantastic.... Sears never looked this good!

Your Weekend Homework Courtesy of @EnSpectEnviro: Take advantage of this wet snow, like todays! It can help expose roof leaks before they turn disastrous. Peek in your attic today and look for wet spots. When the weather warms up, you can address the problem before the "REAL" winter hits!

This morning was beautiful and chilly! Let the brisk air remind you to take care of a few of your home preventative maintenance items. Remember to check your dryer vent and clean it out, clothes dryers contribute to thousands of house fires each year. Speaking of vents, make sure all of your vents and exterior service penetrations are properly sealed. If you are in your basement, shut all of the lights off and look for daylight. If you do not have time to properly seal these gaps, pick up some steel wool from the store and pack pieces of it into the gaps to help keep the mice and other pests away. And when you are outside checking the vents, think about disconnecting the garden hose from the spigot, you still have time however freezing temperatures are right around the corner. ***Check it! This radon mitigation system install is *** Our radon tech did a great job on this one! The house was so tall that we couldn’t get all of the pipe in the pic. The original level was above a 17 pCi/L. This system brought it down to 1! The great part- one suction point and one run of pipe through the basement. The inside piping in the pic below is the only pipe running through the 2,000+ square ft footprint of this basement. This house was built in 2014 (and is ...absolutely gorgeous). They would like to finish the basement but were worried about their high radon levels. Now they have the opportunity to finish the entire thing (without a maze of pipes running everywhere) and not worry about their radon levels! Great job Mat! Typical life expectancy of this equipment is 20-25 years. Typical replacement costs (these vary!!!!) can exceed $5,000. A few updates: We have added another CRM to our fleet for quicker turnaround on radon. We try to set the radon IN ADVANCE so that you have results at your inspection. Or shortly there after. We also have been pulling water in advance to get that process moving as well. We also are offering EXPEDITED water samples for an additional $60. The third party water labs are inundated right now as well and are experiencing delays. We have worked out a system in which we can expedit...e these samples for slightly more for a quicker TAT. We appreciate your support and everyone who is waiting for us!!!
