We are very proud to announce that our Department and our Hospital were both recognized with their highest rankings ever, in the 2020-21 US News and World Report Rankings. The Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Department at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital was ranked #11 in the country, and the Hospital was ranked #4 in the country. We are proud of the depth, breadth, and quality of our faculty and our programs, and we are honored to be recognized among the national leaders. Of course we share this recognition with our colleagues in the Columbia Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Department, as they are also part of the Hospital’s ranking. https://www.usnews.com//us-news-releases-2020-21-best-hosp

The department of WCM Otolaryngology would like to thank The Team at 3D Brooklyn for the 3D face shields they sent us. These shields will help protect our physicians when they are engaged in aerosolizing procedures and are an important safety feature in the care of our patients. "With the recent nice weather, and diminishing options for indoor recreation, many of us have been taking long walks outside to get some exercise and fresh air. You may have noticed that the trees are already budding, and for those of you who suffer from spring pollen allergies, you may be concerned with symptoms that you are experiencing. It’s important to keep in mind the differences, and similarities, between allergy symptoms and those of COVID-19. Both can cause fatigue and cough, but if you are experiencing sneezing, runny nose and itchiness in the eyes and nose, that comes from allergies. Body aches and fever, however, are not due to allergies. Please stay safe, informed and healthy this season, but take time to relax and do things you enjoy!" -William R. Reisacher, M.D.
