Ergo Physical Therapy P.C. 26.01.2021

Dear patients and community members, We have some very exciting news to share! Ergo Physical Therapy will resume a fully operational weekly schedule as of May 26th!!!... The Covid 19 Pandemic had hit us all and required a definition of a "New Normal". Ergo continues to adapt to these new challenges so our long standing of high standards of operation and quality care services can be provided to our community. In order to fulfill our duty as an essential healthcare provider and assure uninterrupted services to patients, Ergo will operate on several platforms: 1. On-site Physical Therapy - provided while in full compliance with the CDC Guidelines to prevent transmission of the virus. Our primary goal at all times is the health and safety of our patients and staff. A new set of strict policies and procedures will be applied Prior to, Upon, During and After physical therapy on-site visits and must be followed by anyone attending the practice; staff and patients, no exceptions! Covid 19 related questionnaire, masks, gloves, temperature reading, a separate pair of shoes to be used on-site only, frequent sterilization of equipment and treatment tables, are just some of the measures we will be taking. All therapist are donning masks, face shields, and gloves. We will be practicing social distancing by limiting the number of patients seen per therapist at any given time and by keeping our waiting room clear. We ask that you do not bring any additional parties to your appointment as we are trying to limit the amount of people coming into the office unless absolutely necessary. Please refer to our published safety guidelines for more detailed information. 2. Telehealth and E-Visits - For any patient that is in need for physical therapy care and is unable to leave his/her home, most commercial health insurance plans and as of recently, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), have recognized the value of remote healthcare service and agreed to reimburse providers of such services. Guidelines of the application of Telehealth continues to change and develop and we will further update our patients going forward. Telehealth physical therapy benefits will be verified for each patient and plan prior to submission of such service. We are excited to resume full operational mode and do our part to serve our community. We have reached out to many of our patients to hear their main concerns while considering on site visits. We received valuable feedback and input that were applied to our strict guidelines of operation. You can be confident that your care will be provided in a very safe and healthy environment. We are looking forward to seeing you all soon! Be well and stay safe, Ron Kassab PT, DPT, Doctor of Physical Therapy CEO Ergo Physical Therapy

Ergo PT will resume a fully operational schedule on May 26th, 2020! Don’t have a prescription/referral? You may be eligible to have Direct Access to physical therapy services without a physician referral and begin treatment right away. New York Direct Access law allows patients to see a Physical Therapist without a prescription. Therapy could be carried out for up to ten visits or 30 calendar days, whichever occurs first. After that period of time, you'll need a referral to c...ontinue your physical therapy treatment. Direct Access makes it easier to receive care in a timely fashion, reducing the risks associated with prolonging treatment of your condition. It also decreases the financial burden on the health care system. Furthermore, Medicare and a small percentage of commercial insurance policies do require a prescription, though it is not consistent from one insurance company to another. Before your first visit, our administrative staff will perform an insurance verification and confirm that you are covered under direct access. At Ergo physical therapy, our goal is to help ensure that each of our patients receives the highest quality of care. Don't delay your treatment any longer. For any questions you may have in regards to direct access, please contact our office at: (718) 261-3100. Many thanks, Ron Kassab PT, DPT, Doctor of Physical Therapy CEO Ergo Physical Therapy
