What if a 30-year loan isn't the best option for you? Most people assume it is just because it's the standard option. A good loan officer will take the time to go over multiple different loan options. A 5-year ARM may be better (even cheaper) if you don't plan to keep it long or expect to refinance soon.... A 15-year fixed may end up being manageable and a better value. The simple answer, there is no one-size-fits-all solution. So how do you decide?
