iMapInvasives Education/Outreach Assistant Office location: Albany Positions: 1 Level: grad or undergrad The New York Natural Heritage Program (NYNHP) is seeking an intern to assist with education and outreach activities centered on iMapInvasives, the online mapping and data management tool for invasive species in NY. This will include tabling at local events, developing training materials, helping to prepare for events for Invasive Species Awareness Week, and completing a pi...lot project targeted at informing municipalities about invasive species concerns in their area. Ecology Project International is seeking an energetic operations and education guru to act as our new Yellowstone summer program supervisor to oversee the delivery of courses that reach over 200 local and visiting middle and high school students each summer and engage them in citizen science opportunities in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Our environmental education program is unique in the opportunities we provide students to interact directly with wildlife biologists an...d collect data for impactful ongoing wildlife and natural resource studies happening in the world's first national park - Yellowstone. We have a robust program evaluation system in place that allows us to track how we impact our student's knowledge, dispositions, competencies, and behaviors, and allows us to identify areas for improvement in our programming. Our Yellowstone summer program supervisor will supervise nine high performing field educators and coordinate our program's relationships with the Yellowstone National Park bison, botany, and bear management teams.
