19 years ago, Evelia was working at a famous fast food chain at 160 Broadway (Just 2 blocks from the Twin Towers) when she heard a very loud crash. The manager at that moment told all his employees to go home. That attack changed the lives of many including Evelia. Today we remember all the people who lost their lives that day and those who lost their lives years later due to the exposure and also our undocumented brothers who were never named because of their legal status.... _____ Hace 19 años, Evelia estaba trabajando en una famosa cadena de comida rápida en 160 Broadway (a solo 2 cuadras de las Torres Gemelas) cuando escuchó un estruendo muy fuerte. El gerente en ese momento les dijo a todos sus empleados que se fueran a casa. Ese ataque cambió la vida de muchos, incluyendo la de Evelia. Hoy recordamos a todas las personas que perdieron la vida ese día y las que perdieron la vida años después debido a la exposición y también a nuestros hermanos indocumentados que nunca fueron nombrados por su estatus legal.
