I just recently watched a national television host say that obesity is a genetic disease. James Corden - you are mistaken. Nowadays you can find anything online to reinforce your beliefs. It is hard to know what is true. Believe this: obesity is not a disease, and it is not genetic.
Meet @capcity_cman (Carter)! This kid has improved so much since coming to train with me. He quickly lost 40 lbs. (which is so commendable for someone his age) and has improved his overall athleticism dramatically. His quickness assessment began at below average. Now he's in the "excellent" category for his age. His attitude was quite terrible when we met - but now he's a truly mature and confident young man. Now there is another challenge ahead. Running a mile in under 6:5...0 so that he can play high school basketball (he's only an 8th grader!). Although it kicked your butt today, as you can see, I know we'll get there. This is no secret: the longer your stride, the faster you are. Through purposefully exaggerating your stride you can actually teach your body to adopt a naturally longer stride - which will, in turn, increase your speed. This is proper form for backpedaling anyway. Lean forward, reach backwards as far as you can, and cover as much ground as possible. For over 180 days each year, over 31-million children partake in free or reduced-price school lunch programs. Some even twice per day. The cafeteria system is largely run by accountants more concerned with tight budgets than public health. The result: fast food in schools. Burgers, sloppy joes, hot dogs, mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, popcorn chicken, corn dogs, tacos, spaghetti, BLT - the landscape of school lunches in America is a disgrace. State laws mandate a vegeta...ble to be served with every meal. Not a problem... Loop holes are built in so that french fries (potatoes) and pizzas (tomatoes, which are fruits - pathetically ignorant) satisfy the criteria. We must revamp the food in schools.
