This is Miss Adele Hall, former library treasurer, in a picture from 1970. Miss Hall is holding sleigh bells which she would use to lead the library's annual "sleigh bell march" as part of a Christmas story time. Fun fact- we still use these ancient sleigh bells every year in our Musical Holiday Storytime!

How adorable is this pic from Holiday Storytime 12 years ago? All these years later, Miss Heather (R) is now the Executive Director at our library, and Miss Brenda (L) is now the Executive Director at Fairmount Community Library on the west side of town! Can you say I love my job?... Fun fact- these costumes were made by Heather’s mom, Kathy, a talented sewer and long time Library volunteer! #librarylove #tbt #throwback #holidaystorytime #elves #staffpic #librariansofinstagram #librariesofinstagram #youthservices #youthserviceslibrarian #ilovemyjob Fairmount Community Library

Hey! Something good's happening in 2020! No overdue fines are being charged on library items! If you've received overdue notices for items that have already been returned, please disregard them. Some overdue notices recently went out for items that were previously returned and were likely being quarantined. Again, we are not charging fines at this time.... If you have had library items for more than 60 days, they are considered lost, and you may see a replacement charge on your account. Once the items are returned, those charges will be waived. Thanks! #moregoodnewsin2020
