New tool day!!! Fabricating the back of a bike usually takes me more time than the front! This slick tool from @farr__frameworks is already making things go faster! If you’re a framebuilder, do yourself a favor and check out Todd’s tools!

Hey all! Just realized that my Instagram feed hasn’t been crossing over to this page... so if you don’t follow there I’ll catch you up quick! A small production run of road plus bikes is happening! What’s road plus you ask??? Well, it’s sorta a bike you can use for almost everything! Road, bad roads, dirt roads, gravel roads, trails, you get the point! This bike is optimized to use both 650c and 700c wheels. Here are 700x30 tires compared to 650x47 tires. Total height difference is 4mm which translates to the BB height dropping 2 mm. That’s close enough that you’re not going to feel it! Meaning, you now also have the same gearing and same handling!!! Win, win , win! I've never had children but I'm guessing this is somewhat the same... Each frame that I manufacture takes on its own life. It becomes something special, a product of hours of communicating with the client and figuring out what they want their special, one of a kind, child to be. Today, this product will get carefully wrapped in packing materials, boxed and shipped off to Boston to start its new life. I feel like what I can only imagine a parent sending their child off to college feels like. I'm hoping when this rig settles in Boston I'll receive letters and pictures of what it becomes, the adventures it goes on and the paths it forges. Until then, I'll start creating another...

Oh sparkles... this 27.5 #mountainbike paint work is all wrapped up! I’ll post some final shots once the sun comes out but for now here’s a glimpse... you’ll have to imagine the rest!

You promised you wouldn’t procrastinate yet here we are. As abbreviated as it may be, cyclocross season is here and you don’t have a bike... or worse, the mud on your bike from your last race of last season never was cleaned and now resembles quick set concrete.... have no fear! I’m here for you! On tap I have a handmade steel cyclocross bike for you. It was raced for one season and well maintained. Paint is in very good condition with a few chips from ‘cross riding. ... Components are Sram CX 1 hydro disk, thru axle with notable items like White industry CLD hubs, white industry headset, Thomson masterpiece seat post, custom painted stem among other cool do dads! Frame size: well it’s a hand built 50cm c-t seat tube with a 54.5 TT. You can fit up to a 40 tire in it. Price- $2500 complete. I am willing to sell just the frame and fork or for additional I can sub in Carbon tubular wheels.

A short break from making bikes to race!

Many of the recent paint jobs I’ve done have featured metal flake paint with pearls. This really adds a depth and variation to the bikes! Dave’s #autismawareness bike utilizes #rothmetalflake greasy black paint and a tiny bit of midsplitter pearl.

PSA of the day: remove your carbon seatpost and use carbon prep on them to avoid a costly seatpost extraction! This one took about an hour but eventually gave in to me!

Current situation, wheelbuilding.

Gravel is coming!!! Wait, that doesn't even sound right. Ok, cross is coming!!! Wait... too soon? Well anyway, I just ordered up some parts to build you some nice dual purpose wheels. H+ Son rims (tubeless ready), DT 350 hubs and Sapim spokes promise a light, strong, responsive set of wheels. I'll be posting them up here when they are built for purchase!
