Congratulations to the Candia Volunteer Fire Department in Candia, NH on the delivery of their new Pierce Saber 1500GPM Pumper. The apparatus features: -Cummin...s L9 450hp engine -Allison automatic transmission -Waterous CSU 1500 GPM Pump -1000 gallon water tank -Pierce Husky 3 Foam System -Custom hose bed and hatch compartment designed for maximum storage and low overall height. -Speedy-dri hopper in a wheel well compartment -Whelen lighting package, including LED emergency lighting and Whelen Pioneer LED scene lighting -Wil-Burt Chief Profiler light tower located in a protected area behind the cab light bars. -Hot-dipped galvanized frame rails and substructure, including bumper and pump house. -Stainless-steel tank cradle. -Overall height less than 9'5" The pumper is the first Pierce apparatus for the department. Crews responded mutual aid with Denton County Emergency Services District #1 and Justin Fire Dept. for a medical emergency at an industrial facility. The call required the use of Truck 501 and its high angle rescue equipment.
