Thank you all so much for the likes, shares, prayers, and generosity. Reach day was a HUGE success. We are still waiting on final numbers but as of 9:00pm Frid...ay. We exceeded our goal of $8,000 for new ATV and had over $2000 in camper scholoarships. We are so blessed do ministry at Cortland Bible Camp with such generous and loving folks. Please Pray that we can find a ATV that can be delivered to camp before the camp season starts. There is currently a supply issue and manufacturing is being held up.

From our missionaries, John and Elva Beach (written by Elva): "Please pray for my husband and me today. He complained of chest pains after lunch and our doctor told me to call the ambulance. The paramedics performed an EKG here at our house and said they didn’t see indications of a heart attack, but they wanted to take him to the hospital for tests. The worst part is that, because of the pandemic, I was not able to go with him and am not able to visit him. I just spoke to him on the phone and he said that he doesn’t have any pain and he wants to come home. It looks like he will be admitted and kept for observation. Please pray that the tests are clear and that his heart is ok. Pray for both of us as we are apart from each other. I know the Lord is able to carry us through. Thank you!"

Still singing this from this morning's service: A wonderful saviour is Jesus my Lord A wonderful Saviour to me He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock... Where rivers of pleasure I see A wonderful Saviour is Jesus my Lord He taketh my burden away He holdeth me up and I shall not be moved He giveth me strength as my day When clothed in His brightness Transported I rise To meet Him in Clouds of the sky His perfect salvation, His wonderful love I'll shout with the millions on high He hideth my soul in the clef of the rock That shadows a dry, thirsty land He hideth my life in the depths of his love And covers me there with his hand === https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PtZsYsBbsI
Our missionary to Juarez, Mexico, is with his Savior. ===== "Un guerrero, un soldado del Señor, partió hoy. Hoy esta gozando de la presencia del Señor y de su esposa, hermana Joy. Misionero Pedro Raymond, Le vamos a extrañar mucho!. Nunca le vamos a olvidar. 'Pero confiamos, y más quisiéramos estar ausentes del cuerpo, y PRESENTES AL SEÑOR.'" 2 Corintios 5:8 ------

Merry Christmas
a word from Dave Wilcox at Camp Bayouca
You are welcome to join us for this special service Thursday evening.
So important, as this is of eternal value, unlike the gifts we will be giving and receiving this Christmas.
from our missionaries, the Jewells, in Central African Republic: "Please pray for happenings this month. It has been busy already. Charlie is heading to Bangassou tomorrow. He will teach long hours in the Bible School and then on the 12th there is a big regional meeting for voting new committee for the association. Then he comes back on the 15th.... "Julie's and Brice's wedding is on the 18th. Anyone want to fly in for that? ;-) "And then there is Christmas. "Thank you for your prayers for the ministry here for CAR and us for God's Glory."
Dave Wilcox shares an interesting story of how God has been providing for Camp Bayouca in recent weeks.
This looks interesting for anyone who not only enjoys listening to Messiah but also singing along.
from our missionaries to the C.A.R. (Africa), Charlie and Gai Jewell : Charlie is traveling, by road with 5 other pastors, to Grimari tomorrow. He will leave at 5 am from here. Pray for traveling mercies, no vehicle problems. it is between Sibut and Bambari.. It will take him about 5 hours of driving time. He will be back on Friday afternoon. Please pray. Then we will have our Thanksgiving dinner. And.... YES! we found and bought turkey legs. M-m-m-m. Now to find my marinade ...recipes. and how much cooking time etc. I'm planning on pies and homemade dinner rolls too. so much to do. but isn't that what holidays are for? ;-) I have one can of cranberry sauce left.. ;-) God Bless you all. May this Thanksgiving be full of good memories of family and friends.
It is rare that we post something on this page that encourages reader participation. Today we are. This is an idea borrowed from a pastor friend. 1) Take time to read Psalm 145, a prayer for the grateful. 2) Take all -- or any one or so -- of the five hooks upon which the psalmist hangs his thoughts about the unsearchable greatness of God: His works, His goodness, His love, His kingdom, and His faithfulness. 3) Add below a few lines of your own of gratitude to God.... What an opportunity this is to encourage one another as we share here the next few days!

As church attendance numbers fade across the nation and online services become very convenient (who doesn't love not getting ready in the morning or leaving the... home?!), it's important to remember why church attendance for you and your family matters so much. You can't serve from your sofa. You can't have community of faith on your sofa. You can't experience the power of a room full of believers worshipping together on your sofa. Christians aren't consumers either. We are contributors. We don't watch. We engage. We give. We sacrifice. We encourage. We do life together. The church needs you. And you need the church. Wherever you are, find a local church where you and your family can be part of community and use your talents to advance the kingdom and reach others. To come alongside one another physically, not just through a screen. While I'm grateful for technology to keep people connected that can't physically come to a facility or need to be away, it's absolutely not like being in the building. Never will be. Yes, church on the sofa is nice. But it'll never be the same as church in the sanctuary.
