Excellent wave forecasting animation. The waves look to be 16 to 18 foot offshore, which is below the 20 foot "better buckle up" rule of thumb.

TS Isaias dropping lots of rain, but tracking inland. TS warning along the coast. Looks to be a "fast mover" that tracks west of NYC.

Tropical Storm Isaias is presently churning off the east coast of Florida in the vicinity of Cape Canaveral with winds of 68 mph. It expected to pass through the Long Island area between Tuesday evening and early Wednesday morning. Right now it looks like Isaias will be a big rainmaker from the Carolinas to New England. Hopefully, there won't be a big storm surge or erosion waves.
