There will be a news conference at 4pm Wednesday concerning the fate of the Sycamore tree.....it was spared today...but not sure for how much longer...
Normally I stay out of the politics of how the village runs its business...but from what I have heard... "save the 240 year old Sycamore tree" is more than just preserving one old tree. There are issues concerning "safety" because limbs have fallen in the past, damaging firehouse and Ketcham motor property, and there are issues concerning expansion, parking and a whole lot of he said, who said, rumors, myths and lies. Whatever direction this saga goes, there are going to be a lot of pissed off residents and business owners in the Village of Fishkill.
