Chimney liners were installed at the Van Wyck Homestead Museum yesterday. The liners help with fire prevention, help preserve the masonry chimneys and increase fuel effiency.

This weekend in East Fishkill!

Happy Independence Day! Thankfully, a socially distanced annual reading of the Declaration of Independence will be held out in front of the Village of Fishkill's Van Wyck Hall on Main Street today at 11am. Bring your mask and a lawn chair and try to maintain 6 feet distance from your fellow Rebels.

The good news is that the Van Wyck Homestead Museum's resident wood chuck was able to find a tasty snack of nasturtium in the Kitchen Garden... on the left is what it's supposed to look like and on the right is what we have in the garden.

The iris are just about done blooming at the museum this week. Even though we won't being conducting tours of the homestead until further notice, you are welcome to tour the grounds and use the picnic tables from dawn to dusk.
