Recreated an old favorite this morning: Oatmeal pancakes. I mixed a packet of @quaker lower sugar instant oatmeal with 1/4 cup egg whites and a teaspoon baking powder. Blended that & made a delicious, sweet pancake and topped it with berries& sugar free syrup. I used flavored oatmeal (sweetened with monk fruit)but if you have plain try adding a little baked apple, cinnamon, @pbfit.official powdered peanut butter or @lilys_sweets chocolate chips to mix it up. Historically I’m a big believer in chewing your calories rather than drinking them. The act of chewing & having your body have to work to break down the food helps provide a fullness & satisfaction that drinking liquids can’t. The smoothiebowl however, is more like a chilled, thickened, blended flavor explosion that can be quite satisfying especially in this Summerheat. I use these convenient frozen Pataya Packets @pitayafoods & blend with vanilla greek yogurt, powdered peanut butter @pbfit.official , some ice & top with @progranolausa. These packets are so convenient not to mention the gorgeous magenta color the dragon fruit contributes. This fiber, antioxidant, protein rich combo is a creamy, refreshing smoothie worth trying .

My breakfast today. I make this giant high fiber waffle using @elizabethsavetsky recipe of 1/2 cup fine wheat bran, 1/4 c egg whites, 1/4 c almond milk. Add teaspoon of baking powder, pinch of salt. I add some vanilla extract & cinnamon too. I top the waffle with vanilla @chobani yogurt, berries & EBTB. The combo of sweet + salty is so good. Can be topped with eggs too to make more savory, make grilled cheese, PB &J etc. I enjoyed this with my blended iced coffee for breakfast today.
