Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, in Austin, Texas. The 175,000-square-foot extension provides 19,000 square feet of concessions, outbound baggage handling, airline offices, and additional passenger amenities - including a large outdoor observation deck and pet spaces. Concurrent improvements and upgrades across the terminal will enhance the entirety of the passenger experience. The winning design for the new terminal is inspired by the traditional Texas Dance Halls. FM...S designed the lighting for the main concourse to be seamlessly integrated into the imposing truss system. Custom-designed fixtures appear to be part of the roof structure, allowing light and architecture to become one. The project received LEED Gold certification. For the month of April, to celebrate Earth Day, we will be posting sustainable projects we are proud to have in our portfolio: This week's pick is the Coach Global Headquarters in New York. The new Coach Global Headquarters, located in Hudson Yards, is a short walk from their old factory building. With direct access from the High Line, Coach is maintaining its commitment to the neighborhood, welcoming passers-by and visitors into the office lobby with its wall of iconic leath...er handbags, illuminated from within the millwork. The private interiors spaces echo the heritage of the brand, with warm color temperatures to accentuate the brick, bronze, wood, and leather detailing throughout. The open office floor plans are indirectly illuminated, providing flexible, uniform illumination on the task plane facilitating a collaborative setting. The 15-story atrium and dine-in café features city views, lush living green-walls, and custom decorative fixtures for a luxe environment.
