Soldier Sentenced to 37 days Confinement and a Bad Conduct Discharge for Desertion On 16 March, 2021, a military judge convicted PV2 Daniel Alegria, United States Army, pursuant to his pleas, of one count of desertion and one count of AWOL for leaving his unit at Fort Drum and intending to remain away. He was sentenced to 37 days of confinement and a bad conduct discharge from the Army. The case was prosecuted by the Military Justice Office at a general court-martial convened at Fort Drum, New York, with the assistance of the 1BCT Legal Team.
Soldier Sentenced to 35 years Confinement for Raping a Child On 15 March, 2021, a General Court-Martial convicted SPC Steven A. Navarro of raping a child under the age of 12, and producing and possessing child pornography. He was sentenced to 35 years of confinement and a dishonorable discharge. This case was investigated by the Fort Drum CID office, and prosecuted by the Special Victims Team of the OSJA, with assistance and support from the 1BCT Brigade Legal Office.
Sergeant Sentenced to 60 Days Hard Labor and Reduction to E-2 for Fraternization On 10 March, 2021, a Special Court-Martial panel convicted SGT Gaige Caward of violating a general regulation for fraternizing with a junior enlisted Soldier. He was sentenced to 60 days hard labor, and to be reduced to an E-2.
Soldier Sentenced to 30 days Confinement and a Bad Conduct Discharge for Desertion On 19 February, 2021, a military judge convicted SPC Dakota Beebe, United States Army, pursuant to his pleas, of two counts of desertion in violation of Article 85, UCMJ, for leaving his unit at Fort Drum and intending to remain away. He was sentenced to 30 days of confinement and a bad conduct discharge from the Army. The case was prosecuted at a general court-martial convened at Fort Drum, New York.
Chief Warrant Officer Sentenced to Forfeitures and Reprimand for Sexual Harassment On 17 February, 2021, a military judge convicted CW4 Craig Parker, United States Army, pursuant to his pleas, of one count of maltreatment of a subordinate and three counts of conduct unbecoming an officer in violation of Articles 93 and 133, UCMJ, for sexual harassment against other Soldiers. He was sentenced to forfeit $5,544 each month for five months, and to be reprimanded. This also means he now has federal felony convictions. The case was investigated by the Command, and prosecuted at a General Court-Martial convened at Fort Drum, New York.

NCO Sentenced to 9 months Confinement and a Bad Conduct Discharge for Domestic Violence On 7 October 2020 a military judge convicted SGT Michael Hollingsworth, United States Army, pursuant to his pleas, of two counts of domestic violence in violation of Article 128b, UCMJ, one specification of aggravated assault in violation of Article 128, UCMJ, one specification of assault by strangulation in violation of Article 128b, UCMJ, and one specification of wrongful distribution of an intimate visual image in violation of Article 117a, UCMJ, and sentenced him to 9 months of confinement and a bad conduct discharge. This case was investigated by U.S. Army CID and was prosecuted at a general court-martial convened at Fort Drum, New York.
NCO Sentenced to 7 years Confinement and a Dishonorable Discharge for Rape On 2 October 2020 a court-martial of officer and enlisted members convicted SGT Ashraf Warda, United States Army, of rape in violation of Article 120, UCMJ. He was sentenced to 7 years of confinement and a dishonorable discharge. This case was prosecuted at a general court-martial convened at Fort Drum, New York.
