Students of the 4th grade class at Ft. Edward Elementary school were asked learn about the history of Native American Indians and then make a Long House as part of their history lesson/ project. Luckily for the library, we have an original that was made and donated from a student of this class seven years ago. Thank you to this student!

The Library is now open from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm Monday and Tuesdays. 10:00 am - 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm -5:00 pm Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Beginning Saturday October 31 we will resume Saturday morning hours from 10:00 am - Noon Also, the library offers 32 " H x 44 " W Foldable Desk Barriers for children and adults. Face coverings are required at all times except when sitting behind the desk barrier. As soon as you choose to move away from the desk b...arrier enclosure, you must put your face covering back on. One person behind a desk barrier unless a child younger than the age of 5 is sitting with a family member. The library is still limited to a capacity of nine patrons excluding staff and board members. Seating and browsing is limited to 15 minutes with 1/2 hour of computer time allowed per day. You must have a valid and current photo ID to access the library computers. There is still time to do the Online Libraries Scavenger Hunt Story to earn your free Stewart's coupon of a single scoop ice cream cone. Go to this library's website @ fortedwardlibrary.sals.edu and click on the Scavenger Hunt logo. Follow the instructions and when your child has completed the Scavenger Hunt, contact your community library where you reside. The library is open today Thursday September 3, 2020 from 9:30 am - 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm. Patrons may once again "browse" the stacks for up to 15 minutes. There is no sitting at this time other than to access the library computer. Computer access is available for up to 1/2 hour per day with patrons showing a current Photo ID. Library staff is available in assisting those that require copies or faxes to be sent. Curbside service is also available.
