Upcoming Project Charlie In Person Out Door Halloween Programs for Children.

Second Graders can join Miss Donna in her Chapter Chat program. This is a Project Charlie Live Out Door Event (previously scheduled as a Zoom program) on Oct. 14 at 5PM. Please see Eventkeeper (www.gardencitypl.org) for registration and additional information.

The Garden City Public Library will miss Reference Librarian Ann Garnett, who retires after 13 years of service. She has worked primarily in the Reference Department and her responsibilities included writing and editing press releases, ordering audiobooks and downloadable eBooks, leading book discussions, maintaining the travel collection, and coordinating the adult library programs sponsored by the Friends. She is a fan of museums and loves books in any shape or form. If a patron needed a book recommendation, Ann would have just the right book or books to recommend. The Library wishes her many happy adventures in her next chapter! We know that our library patrons will miss her as much as we will.

Tweens in Grades 4-7 are invited to register with a Library Card on Eventkeeper (www.gardencitypl.org) for Tween Bingo. The program on Oct. 8, at 5PM, was originally scheduled to be live via Zoom, but will now be held outside on Library Grounds.
