I am truly saddened to hear the news of Eddie Van Halen’s passing. Van Halen was one of my favorite bands, and I was fortunate to witness Eddie record guitars in Studio 2 at The Hit Factory New York City in 1996. I stood behind him as he was at our Neve 8068 console when he suddenly stood up, plugged in and played direct through the big Boxer monitors.
