Joe is hand mixing his classic meatloaf with beef, ground steak, brisket and the perfect amount of seasoning. We’ve added a whole LENTEN LUNCH MENU including meatless soups, grilled cheese, mini fish fries, fish sandwiches, veggie pi...zzas and so much more. MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE COLDEN MARKET! Free coffee & hot chocolate Wed/Thurs (23-24th) Hello dear friends. It’s hard for many of us to believe it’s Christmas week. Things seem so different than years past but we can’t let the pandemic steal our Christmas away from us. My mother has had Christmas Eve at her house every year since 1977. Every aunt, uncle, cousin, mother, son, daughter, grandparent, brother, sister and close neighbor was at our house. 35-40 people every year f...or 44 years. We ate too much, drank too much, opened gifts, laughed, cried and shared an amazing, loving bond that now even my kids look forward to. So if there was ever a family who was truly disappointed about this Christmas, it’s us. Yet, when I stopped to see my mother today she was smiling. Apparently just about every one of those relatives and her dearest friends have been calling, texting, FaceTiming, or even writing cards! Well, it turns out Christmas, the REAL Christmas, is not a date in December, but something that lives in our hearts, and it can’t be stolen from us by a pandemic or anything else. Covid has actually helped us to understand that Christmas isn’t about the best looking tree or the most expensive gift, it’s about relationships and friendships and how well we look out for each other and take care of each other. Turns out this Christmas may mean more to us than any Christmas prior! And it certainly makes us appreciate what we have and how much we miss it when it’s gone. Julie and I are so happy to be a part of this amazing community. We love the stories. Birthdays, anniversaries, graduations and watching the kids grow. We love that we can save you a trip to Springville or find you that last ingredient for your recipe. Most of all we love your kindness and your friendship (and that so many like to hang here for a coffee). Happy Fall to all! We apologize as this is the latest we’ve ever posted for our specials on the weekend but between preparing for the fall festival tomorrow and a number of birthdays this weekend we’ve been beside ourselves busy. So let’s get right into it. In addition to our juicy 1/2 pound steak burgers and broiled or beer battered fish we’ve added what we think we become a local favorite. We took a 16 pound prime rib of beef, seasoned it and cut it into delicious tender c...hunks and made it into a prime rib stroganoff! Imagine a plate full of egg noodles covered with a decadent cream sauce made with heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce and a touch of sour cream then mixed with chunks of prime rib and sliced mushrooms. Add a buttered, toasted brioche roll and you have a filling, homemade meal for just $15.99. Dessert? Of course! Our 2 homemade dessert specials this weekend are pumpkin doughnuts peanut butter pie! The donuts are made with fresh pumpkin and dusted withsugar and cinnamon. The pie is layers of fudge, peanut butter, Reese’s peanut butter cups and whipped cream! Definitely not for the faint of heart! Don’t forget the fall festival this weekend from 10 AM until 4 PM and then trunk or treat where kids can get candy throughout the town the kids can get candy from numerous spots around the town. This is Christopher Columbus Day weekend so in honor of the famous explorer all the specials at the Colden Market and Café will have an Italian theme! Mama Mia this is going to be fun for everyone! Let’s start with 3 delicious spaghetti dinners; Chicken Parm, Meatball Parm & Sausage Parm. You’ll get either a big breaded chicken breast, two meatballs or one big Italian ...sausage link, half a pound of spaghetti, a side salad and stuffed garlic bread! Mangia, Mangia! Got more mouths to feed? Are you ready to try something outrageous but absolutely delicious? We have perfected the spaghetti and meatball pizza! And its first cousin the spaghetti and Italian sausage pizza! What? Let’s start with an olive oil and garlic crust, then a layer of Joe’s homemade pasta sauce, then a layer of seasoned ricotta cheese, then pile on the spaghetti and meatballs/sausage and cover it all with mozzarella, Asiago, and Parmesan cheeses. It’s the heaviest pizza we’ve ever made. Every slice is a meal and a large @ $21.99 is a special indeed! Looking for something lighter? It’s not easy during Italian weekend BUT we’re going to make you a delicious baked Italian haddock! We’ll start with a little wine and butter, add some seasoned bread crumbs, garlic, tomato and onion. Now that’s Italian! This is wonderful but what’s for dessert you say? I thought you’d never ask! ROASTED CHICKEN DINNERS & 6’’LAYER CAKES @ COLDEN MARKET ALL WEEKEND! Hello friends. I’m sorry this is so very late but we’ve been trying to prepare for the taste of East Aurora (Monday thru Saturday) and I just forgot to post. So let’s get right to it. This weeks specials are half chicken dinners! We have two kinds to choose from. Our first dinner is marinated in a light maple syrup and brown sugar then covered with applewood bacon and roasted. Our second dinner is in a mari...nade of fresh herbs including thyme, oregano, rosemary and parsley then stuffed with the same herbs and roasted. Both dinners are served with roasted red potatoes and chefs vegetable. For those with a sweet tooth, after listening to your requests, Jenn and I are now baking 6 inch layer cakes so you can take a whole cake home instead of just a slice or two without breaking the bank. To launch this new size we picked two of your favorites; carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, and German chocolate cake with coconut pecan frosting. I know! Tough choice! If those are too rich Jen also whipped up some apple cider donuts both glazed and sugared. After all it is nearly Fall, right? Labor Day is behind us, school is back in session, the nights are getting cooler and most of summer is in our rear-view mirror. Ugh! Sooooo, there is no better time than now to cheer up with our SEPTEMBER SPECTACULAR SHRIMP SPECIALS! It’s a stretch, I know, but I’m trying to stay positive. The good news is we really DO have some amazing shrimp dinners this weekend! Let’s start with our incredible homemade shrimp scampi. Shrimp grilled in garlic, white wine and butter then tossed with pasta. What’s not to love? Add some stuffed garlic bread and you’ve got a delicious meal. We also have our very popular Yuengling battered buffalo shrimp. Deep fried shrimp shaken in your favorite wing sauce, served with a pile of fries, coleslaw and bleu cheese for dipping. Yummy! But maybe you were looking for something on the lighter side so let’s grill some shrimp in the seasoning of your choice, throw it on top of a bowl of mixed greens and fresh garden veggies, add your favorite dressing and you have a healthy grilled shrimp dinner salad. 3 very different homemade shrimp dinners here for you to enjoy! Now, for my sweet tooth crowd, in addition to all the regular cookies and muffins and pastries we have, this week Jenn whipped up a white chocolate macadamia cake! Yes I said white chocolate macadamia cake. I haven’t had a piece yet because I’m supposed to be eating healthier now, but the way my hands were shaking when I typed that I’ll probably sneak a little piece just for quality control purposes, of course Don’t forget our coveted 12oz prime rib dinner on Saturday with vegetable, potato and a side salad all for $21.99 our very popular fish fry and the big, thick steak burgers served all weekend! HAPPY LABOR DAY WEEKEND FROM THE COLDEN MARKET SLOPPY JOES & CHICKEN PARM SLIDERS ARE BACK! Hello Gang! Hmmm, There’s something wrong with my calendar. It says September? What? Where did summer go? Well, as long as Labor Day weekend is here, let’s make the best of it. Let’s have fun with food! For the entire weekend we’re going to make sloppy joes and chicken Parm sliders!! Woohoo! 2 big brioche buns packed with bbq beef and a mound of fries, OR 2 pieces of bread...ed chicken, fried, covered with marinara and 3 cheeses on toasted brioche buns with fries and slaw. And of course we have our coveted 12oz prime rib dinner on Saturday from 4-8, and our yummy fish fry (or broiled) Friday & Saturday. But it’s not just about lunch and dinner because we have everything you could possibly need for a Labor Day celebration! Hotdogs, hamburgers, sausage, chicken and rolls for all of them. Cold salads like macaroni salad, potato salad, coleslaw and Joe’s homemade hillbilly baked beans. Ice, ice cream, all the fixings’ for s’more‘s, dips, cheeses, pepperoni, sour cream, whipped cream, firewood, charcoal, lighter fluid, chips, pretzels, salsa and snacks of every kind, beer, hard seltzer, hard lemonade and mixers of every kind. We even baked lots of desserts as well. Bottom line, if you need something or forget something, just give us a call we probably have it. REMEMBER, we deliver everything we sell...even beer! AND, we’re only charging a $2 delivery fee through Monday SO, if you’ve had a few drinks, please don’t drive! Stay right at home or your campsite and we’ll get you what you need without worry. Hello friends and family. Is this really the last weekend of August? Does the calendar move faster in the summer, or is it me? Anyway, we have a few things to tell you today. First, let’s talk about the Tipsy Goat. We reopened a few weeks ago with great intentions! We hired a new chef, added new menu items, and brought in great live music, however with the Covid restrictions we simply were not able to get enough people into the restaurant to offset the expenses. 40-50% capacity just doesn’t work for everyday restaurant operations. Now, that being said our size and layout allow us to have up to 125 people for parties and special events! So, until the Covid restrictions change we wlll be closed as an everyday restaurant BUT we are the perfect venue for parties and celebrations! Birthdays, anniversaries, bridal/baby showers, business meetings, communions, graduations, tailgate parties, etc. We have a number of parties booked already for the fall but there’s plenty of dates still open and there is no venue more beautiful for a fall event! Give us a call and we will customize an amazing lunch, brunch or dinner for your special event! Now on to the Colden Market! We’re going to go back to amazing weekend specials, all from the Tipsy Goat’s scrumptious menu. This weekend we’re going to have many of our most requested specials; lobster rolls, Buffalo shrimp and prime rib! Are your stomachs growling? Friday, Saturday & Sunday August 21st-23rd Fiesta Taco Salad & Smothered Burritos w/Spanish Rice @ The Colden Market... Broiled Haddock Au Gratin & Stuffed Pork Chops AND The Zach Lee Band takes the stage Saturday 7-10pm @ The Tipsy Goat Lakeside Grill Hola! Cómo estas señors y señoritas? Oh boy, my Spanish is a little rusty but who’s in the mood for some fresh, homemade Mexican Food?? Jenn & Joe teamed up for quite a feast from south of the border. Starting with a beautiful Fiesta Taco Salad! We filled a giant tortilla shell with lettuce, tomatoes, red/orange peppers, black beans, corn, cheese, tortilla strips and a choice of ground beef or grilled chicken. Then served it with sour cream and salsa on the side. Ole’ Or if you’re really hungry, how about a giant, smothered burrito filled with beef or chicken, covered with taco sauce then smothered with melted cheddar. Served with authentic, made-from-scratch Mexican rice and sour cream. I Caramba! AND, for those with a sweet tooth we have a homemade Churro Cake! Who knew? I didn’t, but I do now and it’s soooo good! As far as the Tipsy Goat specials, because of its popularity last week, were serving broiled, haddock au gratin again this week with choice of potato, Mac salad, slaw, rye bread/butter. Our giant, coveted porterhouse pork chop is getting dressed this week with a seasoned bread stuffing, and served with a choice of potato, chef’s vegetable and side salad. I already have my name on one! So, now that the food is handled, how about some big-time entertainment! Saturday from 7-10pm we have the award winning ZACH LEE and his all-star Band! Josh Hogan, John Fera & Josh English, each one an incredibly talented musician, with Zach Lee playing all of your favorite classic rock, top 40 and country classics.
