Notice to all the Glen Greig members, the new extended rifle range is now ready for business. The access road to the shooting range was completed today (10/6/2020) and the entrance is out side the main gate to the left... There is parking and room to turn around now. The old access road is now gated off for safety and signage on the gates, Stop and Do not enter, due to the extended range and new bullet impact zones of the different target ranges. The ranges are 50yds, 100y...ds, 200 yds, 250 yds, the 300 yd target back has not been completed as of yet, but there is a metal plate hanging at 270 yds or so to plink at... There is a fully adjustable shooting bench with sand bags, at the shooting station, etc... the back stock rest can be rotated around for left or right hand shooters. Here is an up date on the Pavilion and the 300 yd rifle range @ the Glen Greig Fish & Game Club. The pavilion got started on Friday. The post holes were layed out, drilled and poles set by a few members. A special thanks to Jeff Bush for his help with the lay out... The trusses have been ordered with an ETA of two to four weeks, and a little more work needs to be done before the trusses arrive... The new extended rifle range is mostly done. Target backers are set at 100yds, 200yds and 250yds. A 50yd target backer will be installed when the access road is completed in a week or two. The three hundred yard target will be a metal orange plate for now, and when a few more trees and branches are cleared.

The Glen Greig trap ended the abbreviated NTTL (Northern Tier trap league) season last Thursday night. The team ended the season in second place, not to bad for a small team. On average we had 18 shooters, shooting against teams who had two to three times more shooters. See the picture below for all the team standings. Congratulations to the Henderson Team for first place in the NTTL for the second straight year...

As the Northern Tier Trap League nears the end of the abbreviated season with two matches left, the Glen Greig team is in Third place. With that said, we would like to announce our winter league coming up and starting the first part of January 2021. Our goal is January 3rd as a starting date, details to follow at a later date. The Glen Greig long range rifle range is nearing completion, hopefully in a couple of weeks, as we need to improve the access to the shooting station ...out side the main gate. We have a contractor coming in to do the road work. The old shooting bench will be removed for safety when the time comes and that area will be gated off and signs posted, as not to enter the new range area. The Glen Greig Fish & Game Club has received a generous grant from the NRA to build a pavilion. We are looking at a 20’ x 30’ pavilion, placed behind and in between the two trap fields. Our kitchen has gone through a make over, an exhaust fan and hood have been installed. We will be ordering a full tractortrailer load of clay birds for trap shooting. This should last the club two years. The Beaver River Fish & Game Club were having Financial difficulties and to help them out, the Glen Greig Club gave up our date for a 50 bird shoot, August 23rd. The shoot went very well with a great turn out for them. Be well, Be safe

Notice: It is the clubs understanding that some trap shooters do not wish to travel to other clubs to shoot on Tuesday nights, because of the virus and other reasons. Starting today, The Glen-Greig Fish & Game Club will resume practice nights on Tuesday and Saturday nights @ 4 pm for those who do not wish to travel. 8/11/2020 Thank You .

Notice: Glen-Greig Trap Shooters, the Nttl will be starting up next week on Thursday, July 2 @ 5:00 pm. You can sign up at the club house on Thursday nights or during practice nights. The NTTL is shooting the second half of the season. All the shoots will be done on each club’s home field (No Traveling) and the scores will be sent to the secretary of the NTTL, due to the COVID 19 virus. We hope to see you and shoot with you! Also, Glen- Greig, Harrisville, and Beaver Ri...ver trap teams are shooting Tuesday nights in rotation to each other’s club. Next Tuesday night the 30th, we will be shooting at Harrisville @ 5:30, then the following week will be at the Beaver River club, and so on. We are also shooting practice on Saturday nights @ 4:00 pm, all are welcome to come shoot. We are also practicing social distancing. Harrisville is having a 50 bird shoot this Saturday the 27th. What’s been happening at the club; We are installing a new commercial kitchen fan/exhaust fan in the club house. We have built a new score house for our second trap field. We have added a wall to the pistol, 22 rimfire range pavilion to separate the second trap field and the pistol range for safety purposes. Note: No high power rifles are allowed to be shot on the pistol/22 rim fire range due to safety reasons!!! Also, work is being done on extending the rifle range to 300 yards.
