Congratulations to the Glen Cove Baseball and Softball Association on a successful Opening Day! It was an honor to throw out the first pitch of the year today to Catchers Joseph Damiano and Nicolas Nardone. Thank you to Leg. Delia DeRiggi-Whitton for throwing out the first softball pitch to catcher Isabella Damiano!... The success of today and the first season could not have happened if not for all the hard work and dedication of Spiro Tsirkas, our Youth Services and Recreation Director, Kim Kessel - President of GC Baseball Softball Association and the entire GCBSAssociation Board, Councilwoman Fugazy Scagliola and Councilman Totino, DPW for getting our fields ready, all our coaches, little leaguers, and sponsors! Shoutout to Richie Cannata for playing the National Anthem, Nassau County Executive Laura Curran and State Senator Jim Gaughran for attending and always supporting Glen Cove!
