It’s time! Glens Falls Hair Salon will open up on Monday. It will be open on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8-4.

Thank you to St. Mary’s Social Justice Committee for thinking of us and making these May baskets. Residents enjoyed receiving them on Saturday.

Happy 90th Birthday to Rachel. Also, residents enjoyed video calls and therapy today.

Today we played our first Glens Falls Center Power Ball. We have 27 Residents playing. We visited Residents in their rooms this morning to help them pick their powerball numbers. We will be playing every Tuesday and Friday with a live powerball draw at 2:00. Residents can watch the draw from their rooms. Congrats to Frannie, Doug, and Patricia for being our first winners and matching the pick 1 number.

Thank you Dr. Valentine (Luke McNamee) for trudging through the snow, playing in 20 degree weather with a frozen Saxophone. We look forward to your next visit on March 15th.

Santa’s elves helped deliver Christmas gifts all week long. Every Resident opened up a bag full of gifts! Thank you (again and to infinity) to our Family’s here at Glens Falls Center, Glens Falls Senior Center, Froggie Radio, Travelers Insurance, Patti Jo from Mary Kay , CC, QUEENSBURY Elementary School and many more wonderful people who have helped us enjoy the Holidays here. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night! Please know we tried our best to get pictures of all of our Residents. If your loved one is missing, our deepest apologies.

A day full of video calls, handing out Christmas gifts, window visits and room visits. We also replayed our Family/Resident slideshow.

Our Residents enjoyed watching students from Queensbury High School Chorus perform solo performances of holiday songs on their TVs today. Thank you to Choral Director, Mr. Gaulin and his students for sending these videos to us!!!

When you walk into Joan’s room, it’s very clean and organized. On one of her walls is this beautiful shrine of her art work. Some she did herself, some were given to her.

Thank you to this wonderful group that has visited us on Halloween, came to sing Holiday Carols, and now to build us snowmen around our building. Thank you so much for volunteering your time and helping our Residents smile.

A fun day for the Residents, mini Muffins delivered in the morning as well as a window visit by Cupid, the pony. We have started indoor visitations (by appointment) this week and Residents enjoyed playing Bingo this afternoon.

Congratulations to Justina Ball! We encouraged staff to do a craft with a Resident on Friday and when they did, they received a raffle ticket. Justina won herself a Google Home!!! Today we also had more Cocoa therapy, Physical Therapy, Bingo, video calls, and more nail pampering.

A fun weekend of room visits, arts and crafts and nail pampering. Happy November, a month to be extra thankful.

A very busy day today at Glens Falls Center. Staff enjoyed several scavenger hunts for prizes, had a costume contest and were busy doing mask crafts with several Residents. Residents enjoyed several costume parades, one inside by staff and one outside by our wonderful community. (Thank you Nicole for helping to set this up).

Another busy/fun day at Glens Falls Center. Residents received a plate of fresh fruit delivered to them from our food cart. Also, more nails, video calls, window visits and Happy Birthdays.

On October 28th, Centers Health Care held a recreation summit at its headquarters in the Bronx. Recreation Directors from facilities throughout the continuum were in attendance. Practicing social distancing and wearing face coverings, the team learned about new policies, listened to guest speakers, and enjoyed activities such as meditation and painting. #CentersHealthCare #Recreation #StrongerTogether

Unfortunately we can’t have trick or treaters in our building, but we can have them outside our building. Adults, children, and pets are invited to our outside, socially distanced (with masks) outside parade. We will start walking around the building at 4:15 p.m. tomorrow, Friday, October 30th. Please come dressed with your Halloween costume on. Our Residents will love watching the parade out their windows. Please respect social distancing and masks. Thank you!

Residents enjoyed our game cart, you have to spin it to win it! They also enjoyed Bingo and some nail pampering.

Our Residents continue to enjoy Bingo, outside visitations ( we will start inside scheduled visitations in November), getting their nails done and room visits!!! They also enjoyed some pound cake delivered to their rooms this morning!
