Kagami Biraki 2020 was a huge success! Goju Karate Kids and adults trained together to start the New Year at the dojo on January 11th, and afterwards sat for a shodo lecture delivered by Sensei on the concept for 2020: Itaidoshin - Different Bodies, Same Mind Visit https://gojukarate.com//2020-01-different-bodies-same-mind to read the transcript of the lecture.

Snowfall at the dojo! (That's the view down 57th Street, towards Fifth Avenue). The dojo is open today, with a regular class schedule. And note we're open Monday, MLK Day, as well, and again with our regular schedule.... Train hard!

Saturday, January 11, 2020 is Kagami Biraki, the annual (and international) group workout at the dojo. As part of that event, Sensei will announce the shodo (karatedo concept or idea) for 2020 and deliver a brief lecture on it. The shodo for 2020 has now been chosen and will be announced this Saturday -- all Goju students are invited (both kids and adults)! Kagami Biraki 2020 begins at 9:30AM this Saturday -- dojo opens at 9AM. Osu!

Veterans Day 2019 @ Goju Karate The dojo will be open for regular class schedule on Monday, November 11th (Veterans Day). All kids and adult classes will be held at their usual time. Come to class and train hard in honor of all the veterans who've done the same throughout the years!

#halloween at the dojo! Many of our youngest karateka trained in-costume and set new records for great karate and absolute martial cuteness! Osu ;)
