39 years ago today a miracle occurred with help from science. At 7:46 am. The first IVF baby in the USA Elizabeth Carr was born . I'm honored to have known her doctors and the passionate struggle they went through to make this seemingly impossibility real and to have met her.. No one imagined how much a difference this would make for millions of couples! Special thanks to her parents. I can't imagine their courage to take that leap into the unknown to make their family r...eal. Here's some amazing photos her dad shared with me some years ago. You'll see her as a few cell embryo, her birth photo, her with Louise Brown the first ivf baby in the world and more . Thanks also to her for being open and sharing with us all through the years. I remember hearing about this when it first happened and I was in high school. "Test tube babies" as they were called sounded like science fiction I was amazed inspired and drawn to this story not imagining I'd be doing this every day to help so many couples in need.
