Doesn't this vegan banana and oatmeal smoothie look amazing? We think so! Many of our Vegan patients ask us which nutrients they need in order to keep their teeth healthy. A few of our suggestions are: B-12 to fight against gum disease, Calcium to help strengthen tooth enamel, Vitamin A to prevent dry mouth! These are only a few of the essential nutrients needed in order to help your teeth and mouth to stay healthy. If you have questions about your dental health and your diet, please don't hesitate to ask. #nycdentist #nycdentists #veganfood #veganlife

Ever wonder why your teeth are bothering you after running? One of the main reasons this can occur is a clenched jaw or grinding. When we are working hard to get to that finish line, we tend not to notice how much stress we are putting on our faces. So, we know it can be hard. But trying to loosen up can help... #nycdentist #runner #teethgrinding #manhattandentist #teeth

Did you know that sometimes people sing about teeth? There is even a song titled "Purple Teeth." Thanks @thisislany for showing teeth in a whole new shade. #music #poetry #teeth #nycdentist

Wondering if you should go to the dentist if you are pregnant? The answer is yes. Pregnancy is definitely a time of change for your body. And it can also be for your teeth, gums and mouth. Studies have shown that many women who regularly visit the dentist when not pregnant believe that it is not ok to get their six month cleanings and check-ups. This is not the case. Both the ADA and the American Pregnancy Association recommend getting a cleaning and check-up while pregn...ant. #pregnancy #dentist #teethhealth #manhattandentist

Yes, it's true. Too much coffee is not good for your teeth. Amongst other things, coffee is very acidic which can weaken your tooth enamel. This can cause your teeth to become thin and brittle. So, keeping your coffee intake to a minimum can be helpful. And if you do decide to do a post-drink toothbrushing, make sure to wait 30 minutes as to not weaken tooth enamel further. #coffeelovers #dentistry #healthyteeth #nycdentist #onecupaday

Apple picking season is almost over! Did you know apples are good for your teeth? They are high in fiber and water. Eating an apple produces saliva in your mouth, which rinses away bacteria and food particles. The fibrous texture of the fruit and skin can also help stimulate your gums. So go ahead and eat that apple a day. #healthyteeth #mouthhealthy #dental #nycdentist ... #manhattandentist #apple #nutrition See more

Dentistry during COVID-19. Just a few ways that we keep patients and ourselves safe going forward! Each op has new highly effective extra oral suction to capture aerosol produced during dental procedures. In addition to that, Surgically Clean Air purifiers capture any escaped aerosol and neutralize viruses and bacteria. We are safe and we expect our patients to feel the same!#surgicallycleanair
