Two of our L10s, Maeya and CC, working on upgrades for regionals. Working hard and looking good athletes!
Astrid and Avery, both working their Flic Flic on beam.
The upgrades continue this week! Here Mahaut works on her front layout front tuck AND her front tuck step out to a back layout full twist. That's A LOT of upgrade! Pretty good, huh?
Time between competitions means focusing on upgrades. Here's Charley Jane working on her back layout with 1 1/2 twist. Nice work CJ!
Gotham had a rest from meets this weekend but here is the last (but not least) featured routine from the Spartan Invitational. Lylah, L6 bar routine. Go Gotham!
Happy Easter! Have a fun, relaxing, silly day. Thanks for putting your eggs in our basket. We love you all!
Four Firsts for January 2nd. Five stars for Sloane, Alexis, Ava and Delaney.
Happy New Year from Gotham Gymnastics! We're hoping for a great 2021 for everyone. Please tell us what your dreams and resolutions are for the months ahead.
Maeya swings us into the New Year with jaegers. She looks better and better every day! Happy New Year. See you in 2021.
Yesterday's birthday girl, USAIGC's Delfina, is a beautiful dancer. Here she is working on her floor routine. It's lovely. A reminder that after today's practice, team is taking a break until next year. But we'll still be here on Instagram if you need your Gotham fix.
Aww look at Daisy as a Level 3. She's a 9 now. Remember the dreaded Mill Circle? She dominated it. And now she's mastering release moves. Watch to the end so you can see the progress. Let's hear your best memories of Little Daisy or Big Daisy in the comments.
Toss the Gymnast is a lot of fun but is actually a serious training drill. It helps the athletes practice their shapes in the air and gets Coach David ready for carnival games.
Zenell's Double Back. That landing.
A little Monday Motivation. Charlotte's journey to success with her giants to dismount. It's been challenging but she overcame her fears and we're very proud of her.
Our Pro Shop is Open! Since the beginning of the pandemic we've done our best to support the entire gymnastics community with free workouts, encouraging content and inspirational messages. We've been in contact with gyms and gymnasts from all 50 states and 20 countries. Many of you have asked how you can thank Gotham for the support. ... Now you can! Please visit our pro shop by going to gotham2go.us/shop and consider purchasing some Gotham swag. Our merch is pretty cool! (You can also visit us at gothamgymnastics.com if that is easier.) And if you see us at a competition or a clinic, we'd love you to come by and say hi! We're all in this together so stay positive (and test negative for COVID.) - Daniel Miranda, CEO, Gotham Gymnastics See more
Gotham had a spooky and appropriately socially distanced Halloween games night last night. Swipe through to see the fun. Everything from a fiercely competitive handstand contest (Winner = Josie) to #CoachorKid costumes (You gotta see Payton as Coach Donna) to an impressive display of balance (new event??).
Welcome to First Kip Friday! Oh the joy! Congrats to USAIGC's Delfina. We are Gotham Proud.
The evolution of a double tuck! Zoe's first day hitting this skill. We can all agree that she locks it down! We are Gotham proud for sure.
There aren't enough adjectives for this squad! Great work Mahaut, Maddie, Sloane, Charlotte and Josie.
Ground Control to Mia G.
Look who has a message for Gotham Gymnastics! Thanks @janayhonest.
This is a big deal! A Yurchenko Double Twist vault from Gabby! Coming along
Coach Shout Out! Gotham coaches are the best, most dedicated, insanely talented team on the planet. Let's take the opportunity to thank them for everything in the comments. Not all of our coaches are pictured here (but we them ALL. ) Some of these were taken pre-pandemic.
Throwback Thursday to that time, pre-pandemic, when former UCLA gymnast and broadcaster Janay Honest visited Gotham. Good times! And please come back soon.
Payton, perfecting her bar swinging skills. Nice!
