Welcome back little leaguers! Have fun!
We are excited to announce BACKYARD BBQ will be at the Schenectady Farmers Market City Hall 5 Jay Street Schenectady, NY 12305... Every Thursday May 6th - October 28th 9:00 am-1:30pm.
We have the best community of volunteers, donors, supporters, local businesses, organizations and groups on our team that make SS possible weekly. Every week ow...ner of The Schenectady Trading Company, Caroline Bardwell volunteers as our donation intake point. She helps donors bring items in, and has designated a storage area for us in her back room. She donates baked goods, produce, bread, and milk weekly. We could not support the number of friends we do without her weekly help. We are supported regularly by three local restaurants that donate hot food and to-go containers. They also help us with needed supplies, outreach, and take up collections from their patrons. Home Style Pizza, The Memphis King, and Mohawk Taproom & Grill have been an integral part of our growth and team. Their generosity helps us feed our growing numbers with filling, balanced and hardy meals. We are very lucky to have local organizations and groups on our team. Our family at the Zion Lutheran Church gave us a home and place to belong and continue to grow. They support us weekly with donations, run food drives, make sandwiches, hot food and baked good, and help us with outreach and logistics, and support all of our major handout events. The members of Hibernian Hall - Schenectady support us with hot food and sandwiches monthly, run collections for needed supplies, send items for special requests, and support all of our major handout events. The volunteers of Daija's Doll joined us every two weeks through the summer and fall. They took requests for doll and toy and gave our kids amazing and customized toy bundles. On each visit they brought toys, stuffed animals and books for our kids and they will be supporting our Christmas and Winter celebration efforts this year. Capital Roots donates amazing fresh produce to our team every week. We receive fresh fruit, vegetables, breads, dairy, pet food, and meat. Our volunteers are able to cook hot meals and sides and fresh produce is shared every Sunday. Head to Tail Pet Wellness Center supports us with huge donations of dry and wet cat and dog food. We are able to break down the large bags into gallon ziplocks to share each week. Being able to help our friends with their furry family members is important and wonderful. We are supported weekly by Projectella; a grassroots group that donates generously to local food pantries and organizations. They help restock our pantry with non-perishable items like pasta, oatmeal and granola bars. They provide us with juice and bottles of condiments, snacks for our kids, and meat and eggs. Our community is growing strong thanks to the support of so many. We are so glad to have you all on our team. If you are looking for local places to support with big hearts please visit our community partner’s establishments and fb pages

A memorial cross. A lovely tribute and an interesting challenge to figure out how to make this for the first time this past week. I like that I get to try out n...ew things all the time. One never knows what a florist may be asked to create next. But my answer is always of course I can do that for you! #villagefloral #memorialflowers #memorialfloralcross See more
