Gouverneur & St. Lawrence County Fair

The Gouverneur and St. Lawrence County Fair Board had a meeting Tuesday night. As of right now we are planning on having the Fair this year. We are still at this point not sure what it will look like but things are looking better every week. The dates will be August 3-8. We will keep you posted and will know even more after our next meeting in June. We look forward to seeing everyone back at the Fair this year.

Merry Christmas to all on this day; Hope you enjoy it in every way! Next will be our New Year Fest; It certainly will be different than all of the rest!... Quiet for many, as we’re put to the test; To get rid of this COVID, such a nasty pest! Let’s all do our part as we enter 2021; So we can get back to school, work, sports, fairs and all kinds of fun! Once again, Merry Christmas to each and every one; And we hope we will have our County Fair for you in 2021!

Wrapping up STORAGE this week. Our barns are full and only room for a few very small units like jet skis, pop up campers, small boats, sports cars and other things that can fit in small spaces. If you have talked to me and have a reservation you will have a spot but otherwise we are now full. This has been a banner year and for once we are done before the white stuff comes! My goal is to make October 31st each year the official end of the season to avoid working in foul weather.

To Gouverneur and surrounding areas.....we’re thinking about doing Holiday Lights around the race track in the month of December. Possibly a couple weekends before Christmas. Any interested business, organization or family would be responsible for their own display and maintenance. There is no power on at the fairgrounds, so depending on your set up, you’d need to supply your own generator. We’ll set up a drive through for a few hours each evening.
