Worshipers are invited to come together in the back yard at the church at 10:00 a.m. this Sunday, July 26th. Everyone over the age of four must wear a face covering and practice social distancing. Those who live together may sit together but should maintain a distance of six feet from others. This is what you can expect if you decide to join us: If you are experiencing any symptoms of illness (fever, cough, etc.) please stay at home. When you arrive, you will be invited to ta...ke a plastic garden chair and place it wherever it is convenient and safe to sit. The worship leaders will conduct the service from the new pergola. There will be instrumental music and a soloist, but no congregational singing. There will also be no celebration of Holy Communion for the time being. No worship bulletins will be distributed, so the service will not require worshipers to respond in the liturgy except in phrases that most people already are familiar with. The service will include Children’s Church as well as an adult sermon. Instead of ushers collecting the offering, baskets will be available at the gate for worshipers to leave their offerings of money and food. If weather conditions do not permit the outside service to take place, everyone will be notified via email ahead of time, and you will be encouraged to watch the service via live- streaming on YouTube. If the service outside does take place, those who choose not to attend will still be able to watch the live-stream. NOTE REGARDING THE USE OF THE BATHROOMS: The bathrooms in the Blue Room will be open for use during the outdoor worship, but only one person at a time will be able to use the facilities. As there are no locks on the bathroom doors, there will be a sign on each door indicating IN USE OR VACANT, which each person using the bathroom will need to turn one way or the other before and after use. The bathrooms will be well-supplied with soap and hand sanitizer.
