A long time ago, before present-day Greenwich Village existed, its land was a part of one of North America's first community of free Black settlers. The Village, which Grace now calls home, has an immensely rich past, much of which has Black history at the center. The best way to improve your debating skills, according to Debate Club captain Ava A. '22, is "diving in headfirst." Last weekend, the High School Debate Team did exactly that, competing in their first tournament of the year. At the end of the day, the Grace debaters made a huge splash, receiving three distinctions and two spots on the New York Parliamentary Debate League Novice Division Leaderboard. Congrats to the entire club for a job well done! #GCSchool #OpenGrace
